Load Cells for Log Trucks

Log trucks often operate on rough forest roads and unpaved surfaces, where overloading and uneven axle load distribution pose safety and compliance risks. On-board weighing systems typically install load cells between the chassis and the log bunk, or at the axle suspension, using shear beam, pin-type, or weighing modules to measure gross weight and axle loads in real time. During loading, a cab display shows the weight instantly, helping operators distribute logs evenly and control payload to avoid fines and vehicle damage. The system should be shock-resistant, vibration-resistant, waterproof, dustproof, and temperature-compensated, with regular calibration. Some systems also record weighing data for transport management and settlement.
